Hysteresis - Retrace
Hysteresis or retrace is a resonator's repeatability of its
frequency vs. temperature characteristic. Hysteresis is a critical
parameter for resonators in TCXO applications where crystal
hysteresis cannot exceed the design stability of the oscillator.
Hysteresis is determined by repeatedly testing the frequency vs.
temperature characteristic and comparing the data to determine the
deviation as the resonator is cycled over the operating temperature
range.
